The Group operates through three segments: Construction and mining equipment, Electronics and other solution-based operations. The products of the construction and mining equipment includes excavating equipment, loading, grading, roadbed preparation equipment, hauling equipment, tunneling machines, recycling equipment, engines, components, casting products and other equipment. The electronic segment manufactures semiconductor materials and manufacturing equipment, which includes electronic materials, communications equipment, control equipment and temperature control equipment. The products classified as other include metal forging, stamping presses, sheet-metal machines, machine tools, industrial vehicles, logistics and defense systems. Construction and mining equipment accounted for 71% of fiscal 2002 revenues; Electronics, 7% and others, 22%.
