Jeremy W Barlow Non-Executive Chairman Jeremy Barlow has had a long career in the coal and petroleum industries. He was a principal of the Barlow Jonker consulting group which provided a wide range of specialist consulting to the coal industry, prior to its acquisition in 2007 by Wood Mackenzie. Mr.Barlow was a non-executive director of Arrow Energy until it was acquired by Shell and Petrochina in August 2010. Jeremy Barlow has had diverse technical and commercial experience in the energy industry including senior management and executive positions with a number of operating companies in Australia and overseas, as well as having been a consultant to major international clients. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) and a MBA.
| Michael Gray Managing Director Michael has been Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Bandanna Energy Limited (ASX: BND) since March 2012. Prior to this role he was CEO of Middlemount Coal Pty Ltd, an incorporated joint venture between Peabody Energy and Gloucester Coal Limited. In that role, Michael had overall responsibility for development of the Middlemount project from exploration project to operating mine, the first Greenfield coal project developed in Queensland since 2007. Prior to this, Michael held a number of senior and executive roles at Macarthur Coal since 2005. From 2007 he was Executive General Manager - Projects and Infrastructure where he was responsible for the overall management of exploration and project feasibility activities and management of long-term infrastructure requirements and Government relations. Before joining Macarthur Coal, Michael held senior project development roles with the Port of Brisbane Corporation and the Qld Government’s Office of the Coordinator-General. He has more than 20 years experience in the planning and development of major mining and infrastructure projects and has extensive involvement in resource feasibility and development, project finance, project execution, infrastructure development, environmental management and Native Title issues. He is a graduate of the Australian Company Director’s Course and was the inaugural winner of the Talbot Family Foundation International Company Directors Scholarship.
| David DH Graham Non Executive Director David Graham has an extensive history in the financial sector specialising in capital market transactions having worked with organisations such as Ord Minnet, Bankers Trust Australia, Bankers Trust International and CitiNational Limited. Mr Graham is Executive Chairman of DDH Graham Limited, an advisory and funds management company he founded in 1981. He has extensive public company experience including having served on the boards of Santos Limited, Crusader Limited and Mincom Limited and was a non-executive director of Bank of Queensland Limited from October 2006 until October 2010. His qualifications include Bachelor of Economics (Hons) and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland and a Master of Business Administration from Lehigh University Penn.
| Robert K Johansen Non-Executive Director Robert Johansen was responsible for the incorporation, development and operation of Bandanna Coal Pty Ltd and its subsidiaries from its inception until its acquisition by Bandanna Energy Limited. Prior to that he held various operational and management positions in the Australian and South African coal industries over a 10 year period. He holds a first class honours degree in Mining Engineering and bachelor degrees in Commerce and Law from the University of Queensland. Mr Johansen is also currently Managing Director of Global Resource Asset Exchange Pty Ltd, a company specialising in managing divestment and acquisition of mines and deposits. He is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and an associate member of the society of Certified Practicing Accountants.
| Park Soon IL Non Executive Director Mr Park Soon IL is the Senior Managing Director of SAMTAN's Energy & Resources Development Division. Mr Park Soon IL is a qualified mining engineer with 30 years experience in Korean and Indonesian mines. Mr Park Soon IL brings significant coal industry knowledge to the board through his involvement with SAMTAN's Kideco mine in Indonesia.
| John Pegler Non Executive Director John is very well known in the international coal industry and joined the Board of Bandanna on 1 January 2012. A mining engineer by training, he has worked for 39 years in open-cut and underground resource development, coal mining and processing operations, international and domestic coal marketing, project management and international procurement. After service with BP and Rio Tinto Groups in NSW, Queensland and Indonesia including roles at Managing Director level, he recently retired as Chief Executive Officer of Central Queensland open cut coal producer Ensham Resources Pty Ltd. He was twice President and is an elected Life Member of the Queensland Resources Council. His current roles include Chairman of the Australian Coal Association (ACA), Chairman of ACA Low Emission Technologies Ltd, Foundation Member of the Queensland Clean Coal Council, Director of ERA Ltd, Australia’s largest publicly listed uranium producerand Director of WDS Ltd, a publicly listed contractor to the mining and gas industries. John has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) Degree from the University of Melbourne and Coal Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency. He completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School and is a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
