| Virgin Blue Holdings Limited is engaged in the development and operation of the Virgin Blue group of companies. Its three airlines: Virgin Blue Airlines, Pacific Blue and Polynesian Blue, provide domestic air services to 22 Australian cities and centers and eight international destinations, including New Zealand, Vanuatu, the Cook Islands, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa. With a modern fleet of 53 Next Generation Boeing 737-700 and 800 series aircraft, Virgin Blue Airlines operates over 2,100 flights a week. Pacific Blue is the Company's leisure travel-focused international airline. Polynesian Blue, launched on October 31, 2005, is a joint venture airline formed by Virgin Blue and the Government of Samoa. Blue Holidays is the holiday program of the Company. Express Blue Freight provides an airport-to-airport freight service across the Company's network of more than 9,500 sectors per month, linking over 30 ports, from Apia (Samoa) to Perth, and Darwin to Christchurch (New Zealand). |
