Bass Metals Limited, formerly Resources Finance and Investment Limited, is primarily engaged in mineral exploration and evaluation of properties in Australia. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2005, the Company acquired a suite of exploration projects within the Mt Read Volcanics belt in northwest Tasmania. On April 27, 2005, it entered into an agreement with Pioneer Nickel Limited (Pioneer), under which Pioneer and the Company agreed to conduct a farm-in and joint venture over two mineral exploration tenements in Tasmania. On the same day, the Company entered into an agreement with Adamus Resources Limited (Adamus), under which Adamus and the Company agreed to conduct a farm-in and joint venture over two granted exploration tenements.
