(Datang Power), formerly Beijing Datang Power Generation Company Limited, is engaged in power generation and power plant development in the People’s Republic of China. The Company is engaged in the development and operation of power plants, the sale of electricity and thermal power, the repair and maintenance of power equipment, and the provision of power-related technical services. During the year ended December 31, 2007 (during 2007), the Company's total installed capacity in operation amounted to 20,134.7 megawatt (MW). During 2007, the total power generation and total on-grid power generation of the Company and its subsidiaries amounted to approximately 118.271 billion kilowatt hours and 111.411 billion kilowatt hours respectively. On October 1, 2007, the Company acquired Xinyu Power Company. On July 31, 2007, the Company acquired 34% interest in Yuzhou Mining Company.
