Curtis D. Burton Managing Director and CEO Mr. Burton, a 30+-year marketing and operations veteran, has experience spanning 10 countries and a wide range of business settings. Before launching Buccaneer, Mr. Burton was the co-founder and CEO of Nautilus Marine Technologies, and prior to that, he served as the President of the Marine Products and Services Division of Grant Prideco, Inc. Curtis held a number of increasingly responsible marketing and operating positions prior to that with Total Offshore Production Service (TOPS), Texaco, Seaflo Systems and Sedco Hamilton Production Systems. During his time at Texaco, Curtis co-founded DeepSTAR, Texaco's cooperative deepwater technology development vehicle. He successfully directed this project for five years and is widely-held as an industry leader and innovator because of this project. In 2010, Mr. Burton was inducted into the Offshore Energy Center Hall of Fame and recognized as a Technology Pioneer for his leadership in the DeepStar Project. Curtis is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas and a member of the National Ocean Industries Association. He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engeneering from the University of Texas.
| Jim Watt President & COO, Buccaneer Alaska Mr. Watt has over 35 years in the oil and gas industry, with 10 of those years focused on Alaska. Jim began his career at Texaco in field production and operations engineering. After Texaco, he spent 17 years at Union Texas Petroleum (UTP) in various positions from Manager, Project Manager to Vice-President and General Manager. At UTP Mr. Watt managed a number of corporate acquisitions and developed a number of growth opportunities, including the development of the Alpine on the North Slope of Alaska. He was also the Project Manager for several key domestic and international projects, including a field development in Indonesia and the Piper Bravo and Saltire developments in the North Sea. Jim also served as CEO and a Board Member for Orient Petroleum & Osprey Petroleum, and most recently, was the co-founder, President and CEO of Renaissance Alaska, LLC and Stellar Oil & Gas, LLC. Mr. Watt, a Registered Texas Professional Engineer, has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration from Eastern New Mexico University.
| Andy Rike Executive Vice President - Operations for Buccaneer Resources and Buccaneer Alaska Mr. Rike has over 30 years of experience in U.S. and international oil and gas engineering and management. He brings extensive experience in drilling and work-over activities, as well as, a proven record of using new technology to develop oil and gas properties from the Middle Eastern deserts to the North Slope of Alaska. Andy began his career with Gulf Oil, completing several onshore and offshore engineering assignments. He then joined Schlumberger and helped develop their "turnkey" drilling services by drilling offshore wells and several of the deepest land wells. Andy further developed his engineering career with assignments in France, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Singapore. Mr. Rike holds several industry patents related to techniques, tools and hybrid rig designs. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University.
| Clint Wainwright Executive Vice President - Business Development Mr. Wainwright has 34 years experience operating properties in offshore Gulf of Mexico and onshore in Texas and Louisiana. Clint launched AnaTexas in 2003, which serves as the Operator for Buccaneer. He is the co-founder and co-principal of Millennium Explorer, a prospect generator, which was the originator of the Pompano project. Mr. Wainwright began his career as a field engineer with Amoco in Lafayette, Louisiana, where he was promoted and ultimately responsible for general offshore Louisiana new field discoveries, development project design, and supervision and economics responsible for production from various fields in South Louisiana, east-central Louisiana, and in Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. Clint has several oil and gas discoveries and field extensions in onshore and offshore Louisiana and offshore Texas. Mr. Wainwright received a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University and is a Registered Professional Petroleum Engineer.
| Alan Broome AM Chairman Alan Broome is a metallurgist with over 20 years experience in the secondary metals industry and 20 years experience in the mining industry. He had an extensive background in metal casting and steel production before joining the mining industry as Managing Director of a major Australian coal industry owned group.
He has extensive knowledge of the mining industry accumulated through involvement with mining technology companies, government agencies and major international mining companies in promoting Australian mining and developing global trade.
| Dean Gallegos Finance Director Mr. Gallegos brings management, marketing and capital-formation experience to Buccaneer from an Australian perspective. Dean identified and sought out the Buccaneer management team in Houston and identified them as the core of an operation which would be attractive to Australian investors and form the basis of a successful company listed on the ASX. He has over 16 years experience in the Australian capital market place with direct experience in managing ASX listed companies and in the planning, financing and supervision of exploration budgets. In the last four years, Dean has been the principal driver in the creation or recapitalization of three public companies and he has performed advisory roles to other public companies in a financing and merger/acquisition role.
