Devon Energy Corporation (NYSE:DVN), together with its subsidiaries, is an independent energy company engaged primarily in exploration, development and production of natural gas and oil. The Company’s oil and gas operations are concentrated in various North American onshore areas in the United States and Canada. It has offshore operations that are situated principally in the Gulf of Mexico and regions located offshore Azerbaijan, Brazil and China. It also has marketing and midstream operations primarily in North America. With these operations, Devon markets gas, crude oil and natural gas liquids. It constructs and operates pipelines, storage and treating facilities and natural gas processing plants. Devon manages its operations through seven operating segments, which are all primarily engaged in oil and gas producing activities. It has two reporting segments: United States, which includes all United States division, and Canada, which includes Canadian and International divisions.
