The operations of the Group comprise of three Hardware product segments (Technology, Personal and Enterprise Systems); Global services segment; Software segment; Global Financing segment and an Enterprise Investments segment. The products are licensed under a number of patents that vary in duration. The Group operates in more than 150 countries worldwide and offers the products through its global sales and distribution organizations and third-party business partners. Global services accounted for 41% of 2001 revenues; hardware, 39%; software, 15%; global financing, 4% and enterprise investments/other, 1%.
