The market was cautious ahead of the federal budget which will forecast a record deficit tonight. Yesterday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 was down 15.7 points, or 0.4%, at 3926, while the broader All Ordinaries lost 9.1 points, or 0.23%, to 3910.5.
