Tokyo, Feb 8, 2006 (ABN Newswire) - SAI Global Limited (ASX: SAI) announced today that it has signed a strategic joint venture agreement with Technofer Ltd, a market leader in standards training, to deliver assurance and training services to the Japanese market.
The news comes following SAI's recent move into China through a joint venture agreement with CQC (the China Quality Certification Centre) and its expansion across Europe with the acquisition of EFSIS Limited.
The Chief Executive of SAI Global Limited, Mr Ross Wraight, said: "This agreement, with one of Japan's leading training service providers is another vital step in SAI's effort to build a comprehensive global network for its Assurance business. The joint venture will also provide opportunities for SAI's Compliance Services Division."
"While we do not expect the deal to have a significant financial impact in this calendar year, strategically this move places SAI in a very strong position to further its influence across Asia," said Mr Wraight.
"Increasingly large multinational clients are demanding one provider of business improvement and compliance services globally and it is essential that SAI continues to extend its reach across the Asian region."
SAI now operates a global network of offices in countries including: the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic, Japan, China, Thailand, Indonesia, India, the USA, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand.
SAI Global will be announcing its half year result on February 16 in Sydney, Australia. For further information regarding SAI Global's end-to-end compliance and business improvement solutions, the recent joint venture or the half year result announcement please visit http://www.saiglobal.com.
