Petra Diamonds Limited 67 Carat Diamond Sold for US$704,265
Adelaide, Apr 27, 2006 (ABN Newswire) - Petra Diamonds Limited (ASX: PDL), the AIM-quoted and ASX-listed diamond mining group, announces that the 67.1 carat diamond recovered from its South Africa operations in March 2006 was sold yesterday for an amount of US$704,265, equivalent to US$10,496 per carat.
Johan Dippenaar, Petra's CEO, commented, "We are delighted to announce the amount received from sale of this exceptional stone. The price realised was in the upper end of our expectations and bears testimony to the stones that can be produced from our South African operations."
