Perth, July 6, 2006 (ABN Newswire) - An underground diamond drilling program designed to continue testing along strike and depth extensions to the existing Wahloo and Tailor shoots near surface resource has been recommenced by Barra Resources Limited (ASX: BAR) at its Burbanks Gold Project, 8km southwest of Coolgardie in Western Australia.
The underground diamond drilling program will test the interpreted along strike and down plunge potential of the existing Wahloo and Tailor Shoot resource which currently stands at 74,000 ounces of gold.
This new drilling program is designed to significantly expand the known extensions of the Wahloo Shoot and to upgrade existing resources to the indicated category.
Holes have been positioned underground beneath the Lady Robinson pit off the newly established southern decline to maximise access to the shoot's full resource potential.
Underground development at Burbanks is currently on schedule with first gold expected early in the September quarter.
