Sydney, Oct 15, 2006 (ABN Newswire) - Life Therapeutics (ASX: LFE)(PNK: LFEFY) has now successfully completed the computerisation of the 5 West Coast plasma collection centres. This is a major step forward and eliminates the primary issues behind the slow shipment of product in the last financial year.
"This system will speed up inventory processing, donor collections, maintain FDA regulatory requirements, and allow us to closely monitor our products throughout the company," said Dr. Hari Nair, CEO and President of Life Therapeutics. "While this computerisation will enable us to increase the turns on inventory, it will also enable us to process more donations per day, further improving our ability to increase monthly plasma production, he added." "Attainment of this milestone on time and within budget is another important step towards the achievement of the Company's 2007 revenue projections," said Dr Nair.
This computer system is an FDA approved 510k device designed to track and monitor plasma donors throughout the donation cycle. It is a data base system that archives the history of all immunizations, visits, treatment schedules, and other operational procedures to maintain regulatory compliance. Using this system Life Therapeutics can look back on any donation and track every therapeutic product made from that collection.
"All our staff have worked tirelessly to get this programme implemented. Ultimately, this will assist in the integration of our West Coast and East Coast centers and get our products out to our customers," said Jeanette Porretta, Executive VP Operations.
