Sydney, Sept 18, 2007 (ABN Newswire) -
An attempt by Macquarie Bank and PBL to take over a German online real estate ad business has fallen over. It follows a decision by Deutsche Telekom to exercise a pre-existing right to buy the remaining 33.1 per cent of Immobilien Scout it did not already own. Based in Berlin, Immobilien is the leading provider of online classified ads and business services to the German real estate industry. Last month James Packer's PBL teamed up with Macquarie make a $587 million bid for 66.2 per cent of the Germany company. PBL has reported strong profit results over the past five years.

The board of television production company, Beyond International has agreed to a $75 million takeover bid by Navis Media. If Navis's bid is accepted, it'll pay $1.22 per share on an ex-dividend basis, valuing the producer of MythBusters and Stingers at $74.6 million. The offer trumps last week's offer by investment firm Mariner Financial of $61 million. Beyond International's profit highlight was in 2006.

A subsidiary of Sirius has been awarded the contract to supply and implement an integrated Asset Management Software Solution to Coffs Harbour City Council in New South Wales. Sirius estimates that the contract to InfoMaster, will deliver revenue of over $400,000 including maintenance and support income. It's a major win for InfoMaster as its solution was competing against other renowned larger companies. Sirius has been in the red since 2003.
