Sydney, Oct 25, 2007 (ABN Newswire) - The share market lost ground today in some fairly choppy trading.

The ANZ Bank led the market down shedding over 3 per cent while U.S. exposed firms provided some support for the market on news of a possible cut in U.S. interest rates.

And the S&P/ASX 200 Index closed 10 points lower to 6624, and on the futures market the SPI 200 lost 16 points.
