Sydney, Feb 5, 2008 (ABN Newswire) - Gunson Resources Limited (ASX: GUN) announces that Diamond drilling has commenced at the Chianti Prospect, one of several highly prospective areas that lie within the 1,470 square km Mount Gunson Copper Project in South Australia.
The drilling program at Chianti Prospect will test at least one of several Induced Polarisation (IP) geophysical anomalies defined over the previous 2 months, for iron oxide associated copper-gold mineralisation in basement rocks. Drilling of other iron oxide associated copper-gold targets beyond Chianti Prospect is also budgeted.
Recent exploration at Chianti Prospect has been very encouraging and the IP targets listed below have not been tested by previous drilling. Thus, testing them is a high priority. Chianti Prospect is situated 20kms west of Teck Cominco's Carrapeteena Copper Prospect and 100 km south of BHP Billiton’s Olympic Dam mine. Broadcaster: Gunson Resources Limited (ASX: GUN)
