Emu Nickel (ASX:EMU) Admitted to the ASX Official List
Perth, Feb 27, 2008 (ABN Newswire) - Emu Nickel (ASX:EMU)is pleased to announce that the Company was admitted to the Official List of ASX on 25 February 2008. Quotation of the Company's securities will commence at 1pm EDST (11am WDST) on Wednesday 27 February 2008.
The listing has triggered a joint venture with Image Resources NL whereby Emu may earn an 80% interest in Image's interest in a 2,500sq km package of tenements in Western Australia. In the event that Emu earns an 80% interest in the tenements, it may elect to earn the remaining 20% of Image’s interest, with Image retaining a 1% gross royalty interest.
As reported in Image’s December 2007 quarterly report, diamond drilling has commenced at the Emu Lake nickel project with early encouraging results. In addition, a recent airborne electromagnetic survey at Kambalda West identified several conductor anomalies which may be associated with ultramafic rocks with potential to host nickel sulphides. Further results from these projects are anticipated in the near future.

About Emu Nickel NL
Emu Nickel is an active, nickel-focused, Australian-based mineral explorer with a significant portfolio of projects in Western Australia ranging from grassroots to advanced nickel sulphide projects.
Incorporated in 2007, Emu Nickel was formed to farm-in to Image Resources’ extensive portfolio of nickel projects in the Eastern Goldfields and Forrestania-Southern Cross nickel provinces and in turn allow Image to focus on its core mineral sand projects.
The Company's objective is to discover high-value nickel sulphide deposits in Australia by exploring its portfolio of projects in order to create wealth for its shareholders. Emu aims to achieve this objective by the application of sound geoscientific and commercial criteria and, where appropriate, by partnering with other companies which have the skills and financial resources to add value to Emu Nickel’s projects.
