Sydney, Mar 14, 2008 (ABN Newswire) - Insurance brokers working with commercial clients will have a wider choice of product and service solutions following the formation of the Winsure Insurance Group Pty Ltd ("Winsure").

Based in Sydney, and servicing the Australian general insurance market, the new agency will specialise in commercial classes of insurances for small to medium sized business enterprises ("SME"), working through metropolitan and regional brokers. Winsure is the amalgamation of three specialist agencies, each with their own specific area of interest and niche markets. World Insurance Network has recently merged with Insbroke Services Pty Ltd and in March 2008, the merged entity acquired Ausnet Underwriting Agency Pty Ltd to create a new Australian underwriting agency. All three entities had previously established niches and a reputation within the traditional SME and 'hard to place' market sectors.

Winsure will be headed by directors Peter McCarthy and Alex Shead, both based in Sydney. Peter will oversee the agency's broker networks and strategic and business development, whilst Alex will assume responsibility for new product development and relationships with underwriters including Lloyd's and other markets.

Winsure's operation in Sydney is managed by Matt Boon. Matt is supported by Phil Hawkes as head of business development, and Matt Sheffield in charge of underwriting.

In the area of client support, Winsure will maximize its client service capabilities through market leading technology and quotation systems to ensure prompt turnaround of quotes, cover notes and policy documentation.

The agency's expert claims management and online risk management tools will continue to feature as a key differentiator for Winsure in its dealings with brokers and their SME clients.

Winsure will also target gaps in the SME market for competitively priced and appropriately structured covers that will allow Winsure brokers to increase business with their own end customers.
