COMPLETION OF THE WELLESLEY 2D SEISMIC SUREY IN EP 416 AND THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE MULLERING 3D SURVEY IN EP 432 WITH TERREX SEISMIC CREW 401
Empire Oil & Gas N.L. is pleased to announce that the Wellesley 2D Seismic Survey in petroleum exploration permit EP 416, Southern Perth Basin, Western Australia was completed on Friday 4 April 2008.
The seismic data recorded is of good quality and is to be processed to final seismic sections by a specialised seismic processing company. The Operator, Empire, anticipates the processing will result in a very good quality seismic data set which will then be interpreted to map the Wellesley anticlinal prospect.
The reservoir objective Permian aged Sue Coal Measures has the dimensions to trap 150 billion cubic feet of gas at a depth of 3,700 metres.
The Terrex seismic crew 401 was mobilised from Wellesley and has commencing recording the Mullering 3D Seismic Survey in EP 432 in the North Perth Basin today 7 April 2008.
The Gingin West 3D Seismic Survey is to follow.
