Brisbane, July 3, 2008 (ABN Newswire) - Kangaroo Metals Limited (ASX: KML), a diversified exploration and mining company with projects in North Queensland and Tasmania, has begun full production at Riverside following formal signing of the Agreement to Purchase the site and surrounding prospects.

Modifications to the processing plant have now been completed lifting throughput to 250m3/h. Run of Mine (ROM) alluvium stockpiles, totaling over 8,000m3 will now be processed with the first shipment of concentrate still expected in July.
In addition to the production of tin, Kangaroo Metals Limited will now investigate the viability for sale of pebble by-products to the landscaping and construction industries. This product, expected to total 165,000m3/yr, is produced at no extra cost and is highly sought after as a decorative finish. Off-take agreements will be sought as an additional source of revenue from the site.
