The globally active climate and processing technologies group Walter Meier is appointing Jochen Nutz as new Chief Financial Officer and Member of Group Management effective January 1, 2009.
Mr. Nutz, CFO of Georg Fischer Automotive since 2002, is an outstanding candidate to fill the position of CFO which has been vacant since April of this year. Previously he served as Head of Group Auditing at Georg Fischer for two years. From 1993 to 1999, the economist and Certified Internal Auditor held a variety of management positions with the polymer processing company Rehau in Germany, South Africa, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Between 1999 and 2000, Mr. Nutz was Head of Internal Auditing at Rehau. Jochen Nutz is 44 years old and is German citizen.
Until Mr. Nutz moves into his new position, Walter Meier's CEO Silvan G.-R. Meier will continue to carry out the responsibilities of CFO on an interim basis, and he is pleased with this new appointment: "In Jochen Nutz we have recruited a proven financial expert. With his experience, I am convinced that we will further improve Walter Meier in all areas of financial operations."
