Riksgälden In 2007, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) bought parts of ABN Amro. RBS has now decided to maintain the primary dealership in Swedish government securities that ABN Amro has held since 1998, when ABN Amro took over from Alfred Berg Transferator.

"We are pleased to see that RBS's purchase of ABN also means a continued commitment to the Swedish government bond market", says Thomas Olofsson, Head of Funding at the Swedish National Debt Office.
