Up to now, this division has been managed ad interim by Wolfgang Gemünd, who will again focus his full attention on Business Unit Niche 1 from September 2008.



During his career of almost thirty years, Ernst Koller acquired the requisite sector-specific and interdisciplinary knowledge in his various positions at IBM, both at home and abroad. Thanks to his vast experience, the 54-year-old father will bring added strength to the Executive Board of Nationale Suisse in the Operations division and will move various projects forward, not only in his own division, but also on a Group level.

After graduating from the University of St. Gallen in Business Economics, Ernst Koller began his professional journey at IBM in 1978 as a Systems Engineer and a Sales Representative in Zurich. He continued his career within the company, consistently taking on extra responsibility, including on an international level. Over the last few years, Ernst Koller has held a number of management positions; from 1998 to 2001, he was General Manager for Global Services at IBM Germany in Stuttgart, as well as a member of executive management. In recent years, as Managing Director at IBM Switzerland, he was involved in a variety of projects at a large insurance company, as well as being responsible for a number of other tasks, some of which also had an international dimension.
