Melbourne, Sep 9, 2008 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Diversified telecommunications service provider M2 Telecommunications Group Limited (ASX:MTU) has today announced their appointment by Medibank Private Ltd as the preferred provider of telecommunications services to Medibank Private members.

Medibank Private is one of Australia's largest private health insurance companies with more than 3 million members Australia wide. The M2 offering will form part of the value added services offered to Medibank Private's members under their "feelbetter Rewards" program.

M2 will promote a variety of exclusive member offers under the consumer-focussed Southern Cross Telco brand. These offers will be communicated to Medibank Private members through a range of channels, including the members feelbetter member magazine, the Medibank Private website, targeted member direct mail campaigns and emails to Medibank Private members.
