Sydney, June 30, 2009 (ABN Newswire) - iSOFT Group Limited (ASX:ISF) - Australia's largest listed health information technology company today announced that Christophorus-Kliniken will become the sixth early adopter of iSOFT's Lorenzo next-generation solution in Germany as part of an agreement to upgrade hospital information systems (HIS) at its three hospitals in the Coesfeld district of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The five-year deal potentially is worth as much as EUR1.43 million ($2.5 million). The initial two phases, which include the first Lorenzo components and an upgrade of iSOFT's ClinicCentre HIS solution, are valued at EUR675,000 (A$1.2 million) in license fees and services plus EUR257,000 (A$447,000) in support and maintenance services over five years. An optional third phase, which includes additional Lorenzo functionality, is worth a potential EUR500,000 (A$870,000).

"This is further evidence that our new Lorenzo technology is gaining traction with our existing client base in Europe," said Gary Cohen, iSOFT's Executive Chairman & CEO. "It's part of our broader strategy for Lorenzo outside of the U.K's National Programme for Information Technology."

The first Lorenzo elements and iSOFT's Collaboration Suite (iCS) will provide a new electronic patient record (EPR) for GP's to access hospital patient records using standard web browsers. iCS allows the secure exchange of patient information between care providers to improve collaboration between teams.

Christophorus-Kliniken follows Klinikum Saarbrucken, which recently became iSOFT's fifth Lorenzo early adopter in Germany. The three Christophorus-Kliniken hospitals covered by the new contract are Coesfeld's St Vincenz Hospital, Franz Hospital at Dulmen and St Gerburgis Hospital at Nottuln, which provide a total of 620 beds and employ 1,500 staff.

Christophorus-Kliniken is an existing client for iSOFT's ClinicCentre and its LabCentre laboratory information system and BusinessCentre finance, administration and management solution.

Other Lorenzo early adopters in Germany are Aachen, Leipzig, Krankenhaus Buchholz and Winsen, and Klinikum Saarbrucken.
