Hong Kong, Nov 5, 2009 (ABN Newswire) - GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited ("GCL-Poly" or the "Company", HKG:3800) is pleased to announce that the polysilicon production volume has reached 1,993 MT for the third quarter of 2009, an increase of 253% from 565 MT compared with the same period last year and a rise of 68.9% from 1,180 MT compared with the second quarter 2009; the polysilicon production volume for the first three quarters of 2009 is 4,266 MT, an increase of 248% from 1,226 MT compared with the same period last year.
The sales of polysilicon for the first three quarters of 2009 is satisfactory, over 70% of which is sales to customers under the long-term contracts and other significant customers.
The polysilicon production of the Company is on schedule and the production volume for October 2009 is approximately 1,000 MT.
