Sydney, Nov 11, 2009 (ABN Newswire) - iSOFT Group Limited (ASX:ISF) Australia's largest listed health information technology company today announced its plan to release Lorenzo Primary Care for the primary and ambulatory care market worldwide by 2010.

"I am pleased to announce that Lorenzo Primary Care will be available from the fourth quarter of 2010," said Executive Chairman & CEO Gary Cohen. "Developing a scalable, interoperable solution for a truly connected primary care setting is the next natural step for our Lorenzo strategy following the solution's continued success in both the UK Programme for IT and elsewhere. The Lorenzo strategy is to extend the collaborative approach by enabling the connectivity between GPs, hospitals and clinics, and community care providers on a national scale. The Lorenzo platform gives our customers the ability to interact with the rest of the health care continuum to enhance patient care."

Lorenzo Primary Care is being lead by the team at iSOFT's Spanish offices in Malaga, and marketed initially in the UK and Ireland, where customers will have the option to migrate from iSOFT's existing primary care solutions: Synergy, Ganymede and Premiere. Developed to interconnect GPs, hospitals and clinics, Lorenzo Primary Care will support the hosting compliance model of the Primary Care Trusts in the UK.

Globally, Lorenzo Primary Care will be the flagship next-generation solution for the migration of existing iSOFT Primary Care applications.
