Adelaide, Feb 15, 2010 (ABN Newswire) - Team Trev is set to go global, announcing their partnership with international press carrier ABN Newswire last week.
ABN Newswire is the latest sponsor of the University of South Australia-built electric car that will represent Australia in the first zero emissions race around the world, Zero Race (www.zero-race.com), joining other sponsors EcoGreen Electrical and Design Ecology in support of the green machine.
The leading newswire in Asia and with extensive communications networks across Australia, the US and Europe, ABN Newswire will take Team Trev's eco-message to a global audience.
Commenting about the partnership, ABN Newswire Director Tim Mckinnon says that it is simply a case of two groups getting together to promote common values of sustainability.

Originally designed and built by staff and students at UniSA, and currently being upgraded by a group of Adelaide-based volunteers, the team will set off in June from Shanghai for a 30,000km journey spanning 20 countries over 80 days of driving.

Weighing just 350kg, Trev is a fraction of the weight of a conventional car, and therefore requires significantly less energy. So little energy, in fact, that Trev will drive around the world carrying two people at an average speed of 80km/h, yet will use less than $400 worth of renewable electricity, with zero emissions.
Team Trev is actively seeking additional sponsors, benefactors and volunteers to help it mount a successful campaign in Zero Race.
