WestSide Corporation Limited (ASX:WCL) Appoints Wood Group Wagners To Operate And Support Drill Rig

Brisbane, May 19, 2010 AEST (ABN Newswire) - WestSide Corporation Limited (ASX:WCL) will draw on the Wood Group's (LON:WG) international coal seam gas (CSG) expertise by appointing Wood Group Wagners (WGW) to operate, maintain, manage and support WestSide's Schramm TXD 'Telemast' drilling rig.

WGW will operate the rig as WestSide commits to a long-term program of wells in its Queensland CSG tenements, including the soon-to-be-acquired producing Dawson CSG fields in the Bowen Basin. The Schramm TXD 180 rig is one of the largest dedicated CSG rigs in Australia.

WestSide Corporation Chairman and CEO Angus Karoll said WGW's appointment and use of the Schramm rig would allow WestSide greater operational control as the Company moved into the next phase of exploration, appraisal and production drilling.

WGW's CEO John Rogers said the contract with WestSide would complement WGW's international CSG experience and extend its presence in the Australian market.

The WGW-managed rig will be available for use by other industry participants at commercial rates when not in use on WestSide's projects. WGW's appointment as operator of the Schramm TXD rig replaces the existing arrangement with Boart Longyear.
