Brisbane, Oct 12, 2010 (ABN Newswire) - Bandanna Energy Limited (ASX:BND) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Peter Binnie as Manager - Infrastructure.
With more than 35 years industry experience, Mr Binnie will be an important addition to Bandanna's senior management as it moves from an explorer to a coal producer. Peter Binnie has worked in project management, mechanical and electrical engineering in the coal and metals sector. Most recently he was Vice President - Project Development for Waratah Coal in the development of its Galilee Basin project, located immediately to the north of Bandanna's South Galilee Project. Previously Peter Binnie has served as Engineering Manager for Carborough Downs Coal Management and as Project Development Manager with Xstrata (LON:XTA) (PINK:XSRAY) at its Macarthur River mine.

Mr Binnie's appointment follows Bandanna Energy's inclusion in Stage 1 of the proposed Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal (WICET) development at Gladstone giving Bandanna access to a 4 million tonnes per annum port allocation from early 2014.
Bandanna has JORC compliant resources exceeding 1.4 billion tonnes in its project portfolio including over 700 million tonnes in the Bowen Basin.
Bandanna Energy Limited (ASX:BND) holds 11 Exploration Permits for Coal (EPC's) with applications for a further five (EPCA's), in the Bowen and Galilee Basins in Queensland. In addition the Company has conventional oil and gas exploration interests in the Cooper Basin of South Australia and Queensland and mineral exploration licences, primarily for oil shale in Queensland. Formerly known as Enterprise Energy Limited, in early October 2008 the Company completed a transaction involving the acquisition of the issued capital of Bandanna Coal Pty Ltd, a capital raising and a 1 for 10 share consolidation.
