Vancouver, Dec 6, 2010 (ABN Newswire) - FINANCE VIDEO: Exeter Resources (TSE:XRC) (AMEX:XRA) Chief Geologist Glen Van Kerkvoort Speaks at China Mining 2010.
Glen Van Kerkvoort graduated with 1st class Honours from the CODES Special Research Centre at the University of Tasmania in 1995. He has been exploring in South America for over 15 years and during that time has worked extensively on various world class deposits. He discovered the Don Sixto epithermal vein deposit in 1996 during a regional exploration program which covered an area of 60,000 square kilometers in Argentina's Mendoza province. In the late 1990's he worked as a senior geologist with Barrick on a number of projects including the massive Pascua-Lama high sulphidation gold-silver deposit (22.5 million ounces of gold and 718 million ounces of silver). Glen later managed regional exploration for Brancote at their 3 million ounce gold low sulphidation vein deposit at Esquel. When Meridian Gold took over Brancote in 2002 he moved to the position of exploration manager for the newly registered company of Patagonia Gold Plc and set up exploration centres in both Argentina and Chile. Glen commenced with Exeter in 2005. He has been intimately involved in Exeter's recent discoveries at both Caspiche in Chile and Cerro Moro in Argentina. As the Chief Geologist his responsibilities include providing geological and technical support on Exeter's projects, guiding regional exploration, and finding new opportunities in order to ensure the companies continued growth.
