Perth, June 29, 2011 (ABN Newswire) - Kingsrose Mining Limited (
ASX:KRM) is pleased to advise that recent drilling has returned high grade gold and silver assays from its Talang Santo Prospect, approximately 7km north of its operating Way Linggo Gold Mine.
Surface reconnaissance works and diamond drilling have outlined a swarm of epithermal veins in the Talang Area which all show strong evidence of the area being another epithermal vein cluster similar to the Way Linggo mine. The Company is currently drilling scout holes into these prospects. Figure 1 (see link at the bottom of the release) highlights the location of the Talang prospects in relation to the Way Linggo Mine.
Drilling at the Talang Santo prospect has located significant commercial grade intercepts within the sparsely tested system. Significant intercepts from the last two holes include:
DDH199 returning
- 1.1m @ 46.9 g/t Au and 87.9 g/t Ag from 176.6 (including 0.5m 98.9 Au and 164.9 g/t Ag), and
- 4.35m @ 10.0 g/t Au and 25.2 g/t Ag from 195.85m (including 0.95m @ 29.01 g/t Au and 42.6 g/t Ag)
DDH 194 returning
- 2.4m @ 7.5 g/t Au, 35.5 g/t Ag from 109.3m (including 1.0m @ 14.95 g/t Au and 74.2 g/t Ag), and
- 3.9m @ 9.18 g/t Au, 21.2 g/t Ag from 115.5m (including 0.6m @ 19.38 g/t Au and 22.0 g/t Ag)
Figure 2 (see link at the bottom of the release) shows longitudinal section of the Talang Santo Prospect that highlights significant drill results in relation to previous surface sampling results.
A table of all significant drilling intersections from Talang Santo is attached as Appendix A (see link at the bottom of the release).
Executive Chairman John Morris said, "These initial results are very exciting for the Company. We have only drilled a handful of holes into this vein and already it is showing high grades. The system remains open in most directions and the strike length, so far, is approaching that seen at the Way Linggomine. This is only one of many veins in the Talang region and we are excited by the overall potential."
The Company expects to be in a position to provide a more comprehensive update on its exploration activities in the upcoming quarterly report.
