John is a geophysicist by training and founded the Tasmania-based consulting company Mitre Geophysics Pty Ltd in 1980. Prior to this he gained government, contracting and academic experience. John co-founded Icon Resources Ltd, an ASX listed emerging tungsten producer, and was managing director from 2006.
