ASX:NTM) has engaged CSIRO to work on a program to assess the impacts of seafloor exploration and mining. This work will be integrated into the geological and geophysically based exploration being undertaken at the Northern Manganese's tenements between the Northern Territory mainland and Groote Eylandt. The research will be directed towards understanding the potential ecological, geological, technological, social and economic impacts of seafloor exploration in the waters offshore Groote Eylandt.
Voyager Resources Limited (ASX:VOR) announced further results from its Cughur Discovery at the KM Copper Porphyry Project in southern Mongolia. Drilling has continued to return exceptional results, and the Cughar discovery remains open at depth and along strike. Drilling continues and additional results are expected to further extend the high grade mineralisation.
Aphrodite Gold Limited (ASX:AQQ) has received the remaining gold assay results from the Chameleon Gold Prospect located 5km northeast of its 1.03Moz Aphrodite Gold Deposit. The drilling program has identified significant gold mineralisation over a strike length of 600 metres. Gold intercepts from the program include 12m at 10.99g/t, 6m at 4.48g/t and 11m at 2.05g/t Au, adding more confidence to the overall Aphrodite Operations.
Brockman Resources Limited (ASX:BRM) has identified a significant new deposit of hematite mineralisation at the Sirius prospect within its 100% owned Ophthalmia Project in Western Australia. Surface sampling has returned up to 67.5% Fe, with average grade being 61.6% Fe, further demonstrating Brockman's high potential to significantly expand its Pilbara resource base.
Monax Mining Limited (ASX:MOX) has completed a heritage clearance over six key drill sites at its Punt Hill copper-gold project in South Australia. This provides Monax with the necessary approval for drilling as well as providing protection for sites of cultural sensitivity. Monax is planning to commence drilling of up to five holes during October.
