ASX:ICX) has expanded the drilling programme at its wholly owned South Blackall Project in Queensland. The expanded programme will now include much of the work that was originally planned for the first half of 2012, drilling up to 20 holes covering an area of 400 km2. Subject to the results of drilling, the Company expects to announce a maiden JORC resource in the future.
Avanco Resources Limited (ASX:AVB) reports excellent results from the Rio Verde Copper Project in Brazil. Deep drilling continues to intersect substantial widths of ore grade mineralisation, reporting significant gold values in some of the drillholes. Drilling will continue to follow mineralisation down plunge and along strike to the southwest. Additionally infill drilling has commenced to enable resource estimation.
Cardia Bioplastics Limited (ASX:CNN) has received BioNexus Status in Malaysia, a recognition awarded by the Malaysian Government to qualified companies that participate in and undertake value-added biotechnology activities. With this Status, Cardia Bioplastics Limited will now be entitled to Malaysia Government's incentives including 10 year tax free status and exemptions to import duties. The Company is currently focussing on expanding its Research and Development capability in Malaysia as well as its manufacturing base in both China and Malaysia.

Over 50 metres of coal thickness were intersected in 2 of the holes. The drill program is expected to produce an Inferred Resource for the Project, which contains an Exploration Target of 1-2 billion tonnes of brown coal.

Vocus Communications rolled out Australia's first 4G wireless broadband network in Perth last year, and has continued with smaller footprints in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra this year. The new deal has further cemented Vocus' West Australian footprint with further exposure to mobile broadband data usage - the fastest growing segment of the Internet market.
