Scaddan Not Affected By State Government Mining Ban

ASX:BLK) advises that its Scaddan and Zanthus Coal Projects are NOT affected by the State Government recent ban on coal mining in the Margaret River area.
Some recent media articles have caused some confusion with Investors. As the Company wishes to confirm the recent coal exploration and mining ban only relates to a small portion of the state covering a 230km2 zone near Margaret River. The Scaddan Coal Project is 550kms from the banned zone. The Zanthus Coal Project is 730kms from the banned zone. Both projects are in very different environmental and social settings to that of Margaret River.
Blackham is currently focusing on the Matilda Gold Project which has 790,000oz gold and includes the Williamson and Matilda gold mines. Blackham is currently estimating the resources over the Matilda Mine with a view to publishing them over the coming weeks. The Company is also planning a drill programme targeting the high grade gold targets below the Williamson Mine
