At this year's event, The Freight Co., Ltd was highlighting their project logistics capabilities in Indochina and Myanmar. In the period before the opening Myanmar built a few power plants, 3 new ports and upgraded the airports of Yangon and Mandalay, Myanmar's second largest city and gateway to China. He went on to say that in the last 3 years the Myanmar government focuses on the power grid and telecommunication. Both are badly needed if Myanmar wants to attract foreign investors. Sadly though ports, roads and the inland waterways all of which are badly needed to further develop Myanmar however have not drawn much attention he concluded.
