Smart Malaysia developed the Smart-i Go Malaysia ("Smart-i") mobile app which is specially designed to be used by tourists visiting Malaysia. Smart-i was conceived in line with the call by the Malaysian government for the country to play an active role in promoting Malaysian tourism. Currently, Smart-i has 1.5 million users which uses the app to access tourism offerings and information of Malaysia.
The partnership is tailored to meet the needs of tourists in Malaysia to further enhance the overall travel experiences in Malaysia. Smart-i's users will be able to view and purchase Flexiroam X Starter packs and get 500MB of free data via the app.
With Flexiroam X's data connectivity, tourists can stay connected online and access Smart-i's comprehensive contents including places of interest, shopping and making reservations for accommodations. Flexiroam X offers tourists the access to the best tourism contents in Malaysia via Flexiroam's stable data connectivity.
"We are committed to this partnership with Flexiroam as it would be beneficial to our 1.5 million users who rely on Smart-i whilst in Malaysia or planning to spend their vacation in the country. At the same time, this initiative would also help boost the domestic tourism sector", said Mr. Ryan Loh, Chief Operation Officer of Smart Malaysia.
