Asian Activities Report for November 4, 2011: Gascoyne Resources (ASX:GCY) Announces More Outstanding Gold Results from Glenburgh Project

Gascoyne Resources Limited (ASX:GCY) announces more outstanding drilling results from its 100% owned Glenburgh gold project in Western Australia. Significant high grade gold mineralisation, including 14 metres at 8.9 grams/tonne gold, was returned from the Zone 126 deposit, extending the deposit a further 60 metres down plunge. The Company will commence step out drilling to target high grades at greater depths.

Australian Market Report of August 5, 2010

The Australian stock market opened higher this morning after Wall Street returned to gains on better-than-expected corporate earnings and encouraging economic data.

In early trade, S&P/ASX200 index was up 0.77 per cent, at 4577.2 points, while All Ordinaries index had risen 0.74%, to 4593.6 points. Materials stocks gained 0.9%, Industrials rose 0.7% and the financials index was 0.6% higher.

In economics news, the index of commodity prices for July released by the Reserve Bank of Australia earlier this week indicated a 2.7 per cent increase in special drawing right (SDR) terms. Australia's trade balance has been back into surplus as coal and iron ore demands from China continue to surge.

In 2007, China has become the world's largest producer in solar cells and the global output this year reached 4000.5 MWp. It is estimated that nearly 50 companies in China are constructing, expanding or planning Siemens improved production lines of polycrystalline silicon. The overall output is over 100,000 tons; the total investment is RMB 100 billion. China produced 1088 MWp solar cells in 2007, exceeding that of Japan (920MWp) and Europe (1062MWp).

The production of module encapsulation industry was 721 MWp in 2006 and 1717 MWp in 2007. Module output is 1.5 times that of cells, and 50% of the cells used for modules were imported.

The solar and PV power generation market in China has developed rapidly. The installed capacity was 20MWp in early 2007 and 200MWp at the end of the year.

NetGenPlusTM is CFCL's next-generation m-CHP system designed to generate electricity and provide hot water and central heating for homes and small businesses. It is powered by CFCL's advanced metal-ceramic fuel cell stack, running on widely available natural gas. The NetGenPlusTM unit can be easily connected to existing gas and electricity networks and has similar characteristics to its predecessor, NetGen, with the more powerful Gennex fuel cell module installed inside. In November, CFCL's NetGenPlus unit was awarded CE approval, enabling the units to be deployed both in field trials and on a commercial scale throughout Europe.

In March this year, CFCL formed a three-way product development agreement with EWE, one of Germany's leading energy suppliers, and Bruns Heitztechnik, a specialist boiler manufacturer, to design and construct 1kW systems for the German residential market. The NetGenPlusTM unit will be installed at the premises of Bruns Heiztechnik, CFCL's German appliance partner. CFCL has already installed one NetGenTM unit at Bruns and one at EWE as part of the first phase of their three-way agreement to develop m-CHP products for Germany.
