The total volume of business of MES Independent Business Unit (IBU) in 2011 appeared to be twice (50%) more than in 2010. MES IBU expanded coverage of its major customers in Russia in comparison with 2010. The number of simultaneously proceeding pre-sales and ongoing projects for the implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems at industrial enterprises in Russia and Belarus also increased. Results of 2011 year showed that corporate customers changed their attitude to business risk factors, top managers developed more competence in industrial automation systems, increased the desire to use innovative software at their enterprises by optimizing costs.

Alexander Kosyanenko, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) IBU in SITEK Group of companies commented:

"The battle for the customer made us to look for new ways to increase competitiveness in 2011. One of such ways was expansion of our product portfolio (automation software), further development of strategic partnerships with vendors of our products: Siemens AG (NYSE:SI), including Siemens PLM Software, Preactor International Ltd., TDM Systems GmbH. We also became an Independent business unit within group of companies that made us more agile. Now we are actively looking for new personnel and engineers of Manufacturing IT in Russia. In 2012 we plan to market a new brand. Our sales increased thanks to an excellent team collaboration. We witnessed more geographic expansion of MES implementation projects in Russia and CIS. In 2012-2015 we expect the release of large automation projects at industrial enterprises. According to our forecast market conditions will be favorable for the position of our company on the Manufacturing IT market".

Vera Leonik-Shilyaeva, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) IBU in SITEK Group, also shared:

"We estimate the last year as quite successful in terms of our development in Russia and CIS. Despite voiced by the fall of 2011 statement on increasing uncertainty in the global economy in 2012 by the World Bank, when the bank lowered the growth forecast for Russia's economy from 4.4 percent to 4 percent in 2011, and in 2012 decreased to 3.8 per cent, we are confident that the sector of IT technology and Manufacturing IT industry, in particular, in 2012, will not cause concern.

Obviously, there is a positive trend for recovery of interest in automation systems of industrial enterprises, the so-called Manufacturing IT (Manufacturing Execution Systems and the like), as mentioned in the reports of consulting companies, Frost & Sullivan and TechNavio Insights. It obviously encouraged our company, which in 2011 expanded its product portfolio and decided to offer the market of Russia and CIS quality Manufacturing IT.

These are Manufacturing Execution System (MES) by Siemens AG, extended operating system and scheduling software (APS) by Preactor International Ltd., software for modeling of technological processes Tecnomatix by Siemens PLM Software, Tool Data Management systems TDM V4 by TDM Systems GmbH.

We plan to double sales and become a reliable partner for Russian industrial enterprises in 2012. Increasing investment in strategically important regions of Russia and expanding sales we are ready to meet the increased demand in Manufacturing IT".

MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) IBU, SITEK Group (Russia, CIS) - is a certified Competence Center of MES and PLM (Tecnomatix(TM)) software in mechanical engineering of Siemens AG and Siemens PLM Software and represents its interests in Russia and CIS countries since 2008. <![CDATA[ Off-Highway Vehicle Seminar 2011 To Be Held In June In Shanghai ]]> en67364 Y http://www.abnnewswire.net/press/en/67364/ Thu, 5 May 2011 16:47:15 GMT Organized by Duxes Business Consulting Inc., and hosted by leaders of the Chinese government and top executives of international businesses, the China Off-Highway Vehicle Seminar 2011 will be held on the June 3rd, 2011 at the Shanghai Galaxy Hotel, Shanghai, China.

In China, the OHV industry witnessed booming developments in 2010, with accelerating prospects throughout 2011 under China's 12th Five Year Plan. According to forecasts from the China Construction Machinery Association, demand for construction machinery in China will reach roughly 900 billion RMB by 2015.

The 2011 Seminar will provide an effective platform for participants to familiarize themselves with China's newest policies and regulations concerning the OHV industry. Because many leading OEMs have individual procurement criteria and vendor management systems, the 2011 Seminar will focus on procurement, perhaps the most important factor determining material costs and subsequent cost management.

With the great success of last three off-highway vehicle summits, the 2011 Seminar is launched. Prominent speakers include top executives from the China Construction Machinery Association, Liu Gong Research Institute, Sang Group and Wei Chai Power (SHE:000338) among others.

<![CDATA[ Sumitomo Heavy Industries (TYO:6302) Signs Implementation Agreement For the Proton Therapy System Cancer Treatment Facility With Samsung Medical Centre in Korea ]]> en67132 Y http://www.abnnewswire.net/press/en/67132/ Sun, 24 Apr 2011 11:56:19 GMT On 15th April, 2011, Sumitomo Heavy Industries Ltd (TYO:6302) (President Yoshinobu NAKAMURA, "Sumitomo Heavy Industries" hereafter) signed the implementation contract for the Proton Therapy System with Samsung Medical Centre (Seoul, Korea), the key hospital of the Samsung Group in Korea.

Established in 1994, the Samsung Medical Centre (1951 sickbeds) is equipped with the latest medical infrastructure and has been globally promoting diagnosis, research and education. By providing the best diagnosis and patient-focused services, it has been voted as the leading hospital by client satisfaction research in Korea.

The received order for the Proton Therapy System is equipped with two sets of Rotational Gantry Systems that have attained significant achievements at the National Cancer Centre Hospital East Japan, and enables selection of either the Pencil Beam Scanning Irradiation, the latest irradiation technology using the characteristics of the proton beam, or the existing irradiation (the Wobbler type) depending on the shape of the target cancer. In addition, the system adopts a highly precise patient positioning system with a combination of a 6-axis, Robot Operated Treatment Bed and X-ray imaging, as well as the availability of Intensity Modulated Proton Therapy (IMPT). This Proton Therapy System is to be installed at the newly built Proton Therapy Centre and will be completed by November, 2014.

Proton therapy is a kind of radiotherapy which intensively irradiates the proton, the atomic nucleus of hydrogen, which has been accelerated to a state of high energy. As it concentrates on the lesion, minimising unnecessary irradiation towards adjacent normal tissues, we expect less side effects during the treatment. It has attracted global attention as a 'friendly' and outpatient type cancer treatment in comparison to conventional surgical cancer removals.

Sumitomo Heavy Industries has been researching and developing proton cancer therapy for over 30 years. In 1997, Sumitomo delivered the hospital installation type proton therapy system, the first in Japan and the second in the world, to the National Cancer Institute (presently the National Cancer Centre Hospital East, Japan). Since then, this is the 6th order (4th from overseas) following sales promotion both at home and abroad. Sumitomo Heavy Industries is contributing to promoting use of the proton cancer therapy in cooperation with client hospitals through the use of cutting edge technology evident in the Proton Beam Therapy System. ]]>
