Marqués de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 from Vina Concha y Toro (NYSE:VCO) was included among the world's 100 best wines on the prestigious list compiled each year by US-based Wine Spectator magazine.

Marqués de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 earned 91 points and placed 56th on Wine Spectator's list of Top 100 wines, making it the highest-scoring Chilean wine in this year's ranking and placing it above wines from other New World countries, such as Argentina.

Every year the magazine's editors review the wines tasted over the past 12 months and select the best based on four criteria: quality, price, availability, and an "excitement-factor." The annual Top 100 list began in 1988 and reflects the most important trends in the world of wine.

This is the third time that the Marques de Casa Concha line has appeared on the celebrated list, which confirms its consistency and quality as a brand with solid scores and awards.

The line began to show its unwavering excellence with the 1999 vintage, which marks a milestone in the history of Marques de Casa Concha. From that time on, the line has stood out for its varieties and the excellent scores achieved year after year—all above 90 points without interruption.

The breakthrough came during the 1990s, when the use of more advanced agricultural and enological techniques significantly increased the quality of Marqués de Casa Concha, making it an exceptional wine in each of its subsequent vintages regardless of the weather conditions of any particular year. The result is a consistently excellent wine that is in very high demand world round.

Winemaker's Notes: "Deep ruby-red in color with notes of cherry, cedar, blackberry, black tar, and smoke. Its tremendous concentration of flavors is displayed in a context of firm tannins with a soft and silky texture and a long finish."
