International Coal Limited (ASX:ICX) has expanded the drilling programme at its wholly owned South Blackall Project in Queensland. The expanded programme will now include much of the work that was originally planned for the first half of 2012, drilling up to 20 holes covering an area of 400 km2. Subject to the results of drilling, the Company expects to announce a maiden JORC resource in the future.

The drill program is expected to produce an Inferred Resource for the Project, which contains an Exploration Target of 1-2 billion tonnes of brown coal.
