Aker Solutions ASA 5 June 2008 - Aker Solutions has been awarded another contract for a deepwater marine drilling riser by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME). Contract value is approximately USD 35 million. The contract is for the delivery of a complete deepwater marine drilling riser system with buoyancy package and associated equipment. The system is for a drillship that DSME is building.

Aker Solutions ASA 29 May 2008 - Today, Aker Solutions will open its new 'Well Intervention Academy,' in Stavanger, Norway. This facility will give new generations of offshore operators and engineers first hand experience in critical well intervention activities. The centre consists of an intervention tower, two test wells and state-of-the-art intervention equipment to facilitate realistic and practical testing in an environment as close to real offshore conditions as possible.

Aker Solutions ASA Tucson, Arizona USA - 23 May 2008: Aker Solutions, a global provider to the process and energy industries, has signed an agreement to perform engineering and procurement (EP) services for the design and installation of the Safford acid plant and area improvements. The acid plant, located in southeastern Arizona, is owned and operated by Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. (FCX).
