C Y Foundation Group Limited (HKG:1182) Opens 2009 IEF Final in Suwon, Korea With Over 1 Million Visitors From 17 Countries and Regions Expected

C Y Foundation Group Limited (HKG:1182) is pleased to announce that 2009 IEF ("International E-sport Festival") final successfully opened on 30 October 2009 in Suwon, Korea. Over 1 million visitors are expected to attend or participate in the three day e-sport event.

This year's IEF Finals have attracted top online game players from 17 countries and regions, including the winners of the China and Hong Kong tournaments which were hosted by C Y Foundation. Winners of Hong Kong's preliminary tournaments, the five-member RS team who won the Counter Strike competition are representing Hong Kong at Korea's IEF finals which boast grand prizes over US$58,000 in value.

Officiating guests at the grand opening ceremony in Suwon, included more than 20 members of Korea's National Assembly. Well known artists from China, Hong Kong and Korea performed at the ceremony. In addition, a range of entertainment will be staged over the remaining two days including the International Youth Dream Concert and programmes focusing on information science. The two day competition features the world's most successful e-sport titles, including StarCraft, WarCraft and Counter Strike.

IEF, regarded as the "Olympics" of the digital entertainment industry, aims to use e-sports to foster stronger bonds among youth worldwide, bringing together young people from different ethnic, cultural and geographic backgrounds. This year's IEF final is expected to replicate the success of the 2008 IEF tournament held in Wuhan, China that attracted world class players and television and website audiences of 150,000.
