
Mr Lawrence brings to CCR strong project development, corporate and operational management and metallurgical expertise.
Mr Lawrence began his career with Western Mining Corporation (WMC) and over a 20 year period, his senior roles included Resident Manager Olympic Dam, Manager Metallurgy Olympic Dam, and General Manager Group Technology. He was also responsible for the design and commissioning of the first carbon-in-pulp gold plant in Kambalda, Western Australia, in 1980.
After leaving WMC he formed RMDSTEM, a professional services firm, providing consulting and contracting services to the resources and technology innovation sectors. Contract roles included General Manager at Pasminco's Elura Mine and subsequent management of the Endeavour Mine processing plant. Mr Lawrence relinquished his role of Managing Director of RMDSTEM in 2010 to focus on the Wonawinta Silver Project.
He is a past Chairman and member of the CSIRO's Sector Advisory Committee for the Mineral Processing and Metals Production sector and a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International.
