Aconex Ltd (ASX:ACX) Appoints Craig Fulton as Chief Technology Officer

Aconex Limited (ASX:ACX), provider of the #1 global platform connecting teams on construction and engineering projects, today announced the appointment of Craig Fulton as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Reporting to Rob Phillpot, Senior Vice President of product and engineering and co-founder, Mr. Fulton will be responsible for all Aconex product engineering and cloud hosting functions.

Mr. Fulton has more than 20 years of technology management, cloud, security, and infrastructure experience across multiple industries, including telecommunications, financial services, government, software, and digital. He joins Aconex from Telstra, Australia's largest telecommunications and media company, where he held a series of executive positions in cloud solutions and delivery, including Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) engineering.

Most recently, Mr. Fulton was director, infrastructure and cloud solutions, at Telstra, where he led the 'Cloud First Strategy' to enable the migration and creation of Telstra applications in the public cloud. He also led engineering for the 'Multi Cloud Strategy', building an ecosystem of networks, security, clouds, tools, and applications to enable Telstra customers to innovate, create and grow their own business solutions. He changed his teams' way of working by embracing DevOps, Agile and Design thinking to deliver innovation, reduced costs and increased speed to market whilst maintaining stability.

Prior to Telstra, Mr. Fulton was Chief Security Officer at Australia Post Digital Mailbox, where he implemented automated application security testing, an approach that cost up to 75% less than traditional infrastructure vulnerability and penetrations testing. He also led technology, security and business integration programs at blue-chip companies in Australia and the U.K., such as ANZ, BSkyB, PwC Australia, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Standard Life.

Mr. Fulton holds a Master of Science degree with Merit in Strategic Information Systems from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland, and certificates in management from the Australian Graduate School of Management and Henley Business School in the U.K. He served in the Royal Air Force for nine years.
