Egil Hogna Appointed New Yara CFO

Yara International ASA Oslo (2008-07-07): Yara International ASA has appointed Egil Hogna (37) new Chief Financial Officer. He will take up the position from August and succeeds Sven Ombudstvedt.

Egil Hogna has been working for Yara since 1999, and is currently located in France managing Business Unit Mediterranean with an annual turnover of approximately USD 800 million.

"I am pleased Egil has joined the Management Team as CFO. He has extensive experience from various finance and management positions within Yara and played a key role in the turnaround and IPO processes. Moreover he has the strong corporate and industry knowledge required to continue the positive development of the Company," says CEO and President of Yara International, Thorleif Enger.

During his 9 years in Yara and former Norsk Hydro, Egil Hogna has held a number of management positions, including Head of Investor Relations during the Yara IPO (2004-2006) and Corporate Controller during the Hydro Agri Turnaround (1999-2001). He has also worked for Hydro Aluminium, and before joining Norsk Hydro he was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company.

Egil Hogna holds an MSc in Industrial Management from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTNU) and an MBA from INSEAD, France.
