Beach Petroleum Operated Cooper / Eromanga Exploration
Perlubie-1 has discovered oil with wireline logs indicating a 5 metre gross oil column at the top of the Namur Sandstone. Perlubie-1 is the sixth oil field discovered in PEL 92. Following completion of logging operations it is planned to case the well for future completion as an oil well. Interests in Perlubie-1 are Beach Petroleum Ltd (75%) and Cooper Energy Ltd (25%).
Cooper/Eromanga Oil Exploration and Development - Santos Operated
In areas operated by Santos, one well is in progress (Jackson East-2, Beach 38.5%).
Egypt - South East July Concession - Gulf of Suez
South July-1, targeting oil in the Lower Rudeis and Nubia Formations, is drilling ahead in the Kareem Formation at a depth of 2905 metres. Interests in South July-1 are Beach Petroleum (Egypt) Pty Limited, 20%, Santos Egypt Pty Ltd, 40% and Dana Petroleum (E&P) Limited, 40%.
