NewSat Limited (ASX:NWT) Signs A Contract To Supply Satellite Communications Out Of The Adelaide Earth Station
Melbourne, Aug 4, 2009 AEST (ABN Newswire) - As part of NewSat Limited's (ASX:NWT)(PINK:NWTLY) continuous disclosure obligations, the company advises the market of the following new developments The company has signed a 53 month contract to provide satellite communications out of the Adelaide Earth Station on a significant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project. The committed contract value is over A$2 million for the term.
The company has also signed a letter of intent with a US partner for a 36 month contract to provide satellite communications out of the Adelaide Earth Station to the US Military in the Middle East. The committed contract value is at least A$2 million for the term with an expectation to grow higher. This is a further extension of satellite communication services that the company started providing in the region in November 2008.
Both services are scheduled to start within a matter of weeks in August.
The company is bound by confidentiality with our customers to release any more information on the new contracts at this current time. More details will follow in the next fortnight on the name of the customers, the countries impacted by the satellite communications service and the overall involvement of NewSat in both projects.
