Drillsearch Energy Ltd (ASX:DLS) Resignation of Peter Wicks as Non-Executive Director

Sydney, Sep 14, 2009 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Drillsearch Energy Ltd (ASX:DLS)(PINK:DRLLF) wishes to advise that non-executive director, Peter Wicks has resigned from the Board with effect as of today. The Board wishes to thank Peter for his contributions over the last several months and especially in connection with the Company's defence of the takeover bid by Beach Petroleum Ltd which ended on 14 August 2009.

The Board continues to focus on the previously announced Board renewal process. The Company is seeking to appoint a number of new Board members with significant oil & gas experience who are well recognized and respected in the industry. The process and identification of potential candidates is well advanced and the Board hopes to make further announcements in this regard in the near future.
